When it comes to contracts, I don't just have you initial and sign. I walk you through the contract and explain what the clauses mean in simple terms. There are no need for surprises or misunderstandings. Once we have an accepted offer my duties to you do not end there. I will be there for you and make sure the rest of the process is as smooth as possible. This should be an exciting time for you, not a stressful one.
I started my journey into real estate sixteen years ago working with Top Producer, a real estate software company. In my role there I consulted with and trained Realtors across North America how to manage and market their businesses effectively.
I then went on to work for two different top producing agents where I handled over 100 contracts in a matter of 15 months. I gained exceptional knowledge about what works and what doesn’t work. After that intense experience I was confident to go out on my own and apply all these things that I learned that work in my clients best interest. I have been a Realtor® for over 11 years now.
When working with you as your listing agent I know that truly listening to your wants and needs is the biggest part of the puzzle. I will always be honest and direct with you and only take on the project if I feel confident that I can help you reach your goals. Once we have a plan, I’ll carefully analyze the market and explore effective pricing strategies. I have a background in design and can use this talent to help you with suggestions for staging and creating custom designed marketing materials. You and I will work together to make sure your home stands out and sells for the highest price in the shortest amount of time.
I have been awarded the Certified Master Negotiation Expert (MCNE®) designation by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute (RENI). With professional negotiation skills, I am able to help my clients obtain better results in the sale or purchase of their home. This gives me a powerful competitive edge because of my ability to:
- 1) communicate effectively to uncover more information,
- 2) help clients understand their options,
- 3) work collaboratively with others, and
- 4) resolve deadlocks.
With this training, I have a thorough understanding of how to negotiate effectively to help achieve my client’s goals.
A little about me: Born and raised in the beautiful, culture rich city of Vancouver by a Canadian Mom and a Trinidadian Dad. I’m an avid gardener (when I have time) and love to cook and entertain my friends and family (I make time). I believe dancing is a necessity of life!
My husband, Trevor and I purchased our home on Galiano Island in the summer of 2020 and have had a lot of fun exploring the island, searching for our dog Roxy (maybe not so fun) and with home improvement projects (ya, installing a septic system isn't really a fun project), currently a new kitchen is in the works!
I have had a love of animals and nature for longer than I can remember (my Mom can vouch for that). I cannot help but save any creature that has put itself in danger or needs assistance including worms, caterpillars and spiders. I notice the beauty in the little things, always have.
